Which SEO plugin is better? Yoast or AIOSEO

In today’s competitive Digital marketing world, SEO plugin is important for content developers seeking to grow their website search rank i.e position on Search Engine Results Pages(SERP) and subscribers. In this blog, I compare Yoast and AIOSEO .

Let us look at some key features of SEO plugins. The plugins analyse the page and provide alerts for improvement based on the type of page for example blog post, profile, FAQ, about etc. (schema). These assess and provide a score which reflects the suitability for search engines. By specifying the focus keyphrase for the page, the plugin provides alerts about its usage in the content. These also provide preview of how the page will be presented on various social media platforms thereby helping the page writer to improve the content or add meta description.

SEO plugins assess links in the content and provide alerts. Some plugins also recommend relevant internal links based on the assessment of the overall published content of the website. When the website grows and is restructured, there may be a need to provide redirects for old links. Plugins help with creating redirects. Some plugins provide a quantitative score as well. Please note that some features are available only in premium versions. Free version have some limitations such as limited number of key phrases, unable to distinguish between singular and plural usage of the keywords.

Yoast SEO and AIOSEO were started in the year 2007. Yoast Seo has 25,856 reviews with 5 star rating while AIOSEO has 3,182 views on WordPress site as on 2 August, 2023. Yoast SEO runs on more than 12 million sites. as per analysis by “builtwith” website. AIOSEO is used by 3 million users as per the company’s update.
